Anxiety

Anxiety lies on a spectrum with healthy stress on the one side and anxiety disorder on the other.

Healthy stress helps you to be focused, motivated and having clarity on what to do and when to do it.

Anxiety Disorder (on the other side of the spectrum) your anxious feelings are strong enough to interfere with your daily activities. When you suffer from Anxiety Disorder, you need the care of a mental health practitioner.
The area between healthy stress and Anxiety Disorder can be recognised by the following:

  • Memory problems and inability to concentrate.
  • Relationship difficulties.
  • Insomnia.
  • Inability to relax and feeling overwhelmed.
  • A sense of loneliness and isolation.
  • Prolonged periods of tightness in chest, rapid heartbeat, loss of sex drive, shallow breathing, teeth-grinding.
  • Not performing at your best in sport.
  • Exam stress.

I coach university students, executives, couples, in fact – anyone who wants to enhance their quality of life by being in control of their emotional states.
