Integrative Neurocoaching

I work in the mental health–adjacent, non-clinical space, providing neuroscience-informed coaching support to individuals who are experiencing emotional dysregulation, stress, burnout, or reduced functional capacity; often alongside ongoing therapeutic or medical care.

My role is to support nervous system regulation, self-leadership, and day-to-day functioning, while maintaining clear boundaries around diagnosis, treatment, and clinical intervention.

When Referral to Neurocoaching Is Appropriate

Clients who benefit most from referral typically:

  • Are psychologically stable but functionally dysregulated
  • Experience chronic stress, burnout, or emotional reactivity
  • Struggle with nervous system overload impacting daily functioning
  • Require support with self-regulation, stress tolerance, and behavioural integration
  • Are already in therapy but need between-session regulation support
  • Are resistant or fatigued by insight-only approaches
  • This work is particularly suitable for high-functioning adults, professionals, and leaders under sustained pressure

Approach & Methodology

My work is grounded in:

  • Neuroscience-informed coaching principles
  • Nervous system regulation and stress physiology
  • Assessment-driven coaching interventions
  • Trauma-aware, non-exposure frameworks

I utilise structured assessments to understand:

  • Stress load and burnout risk
  • Regulation capacity
  • Behavioural and coping patterns
  • Self-leadership under pressure

The focus is on stabilisation, containment, and functional improvement.

Professional Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Stellenbosch University, with majors in Psychology, Computer Science, and Mathematics, supporting a structured, systems-based coaching orientation.

I am:

  • A Certified Neuro Lifecoach (Institute for Multi-Level Neuro Processing)
  • A Registered Coach with the International Coaches Register (ICR)

I have been in private practice since 2019 through Grounded for Life, offering remote and in-person sessions.

Collaboration & Communication

Where appropriate and with client consent, I am open to:

  • Collaborative care alongside therapists or medical providers
  • Clear communication regarding scope and role
  • Referral back when clinical escalation is indicated

My intention is to support continuity of care, not fragmentation.

Professional Positioning

I am an Integrative Neurocoach with an academic foundation in psychology and a structured, assessment-informed coaching framework.

I do not provide:

  • Psychotherapy
  • Diagnosis
  • Trauma processing
  • Crisis intervention
  • Medical or psychiatric treatment

My work is designed to complement clinical care, not replace it.

Clinical Boundaries & Scope

All coaching remains non-clinical and is delivered within a clearly defined scope of practice.

I explicitly:

  • Do not assess or treat mental illness
  • Do not process traumatic memory
  • Do not engage in exposure-based or emotion-eliciting interventions
  • Refer back to clinical care if risk indicators emerge

If a client presents with:

  • Acute psychiatric symptom
  • Active self-harm ideation
  • Severe functional impairment
  • Trauma requiring clinical intervention

I prioritise immediate referral back to appropriate healthcare providers.

Areas of Support

  • Stress-related emotional dysregulation
  • Burnout and functional fatigue
  • Anger, irritability, or emotional shutdown
  • Anxiety-adjacent stress responses (non-clinical)
  • Behavioural change and adaptive coping
  • Psychoeducation around nervous system function

Referral Process

Referrals can be made by:

  • Encouraging the client to initiate contact directly
  • Requesting a brief referral conversation (with consent)

All client work begins with ethical screening and informed consent.
