Integrative Neurocoach | Emotional Regulation, Stress & Self-Leadership

I work with individuals and leaders whose emotional systems are under sustained pressure often long before anything looks “wrong” from the outside.

My clients are typically capable, responsible, and high-functioning. What brings them to coaching is not a lack of insight or intelligence, but nervous system overload: chronic stress, burnout, emotional reactivity, shutdown, or loss of internal stability under pressure.

My role is to help restore regulation, clarity, and self-leadership so performance, relationships, and daily functioning can stabilise again.

My Professional Orientation

I am an Integrative Neurocoach with a strong academic foundation in psychology and a neuroscience-informed coaching framework.

My work sits in the mental health–adjacent, non-clinical space, supporting clients who may be:

  • Emotionally dysregulated but not clinically unwell
  • Functioning, yet operating in survival mode
  • Already in therapy and needing regulation-focused support alongside it
  • Navigating stress, burnout, anger, or life transitions

I work ethically, collaboratively, and within a clearly defined scope of practice.

My Approach`

My coaching is:

  • Neuroscience-informed, grounded in stress physiology and nervous system function
  • Assessment-informed, using structured tools to understand stress patterns, burnout risk, and self-leadership capacity
  • Trauma-aware, without emotional exposure or reprocessing
  • Practical and structured, designed for real-life application

I draw on:

  • The Neuro-Coach Method
  • Nervous system regulation principles
  • Behavioural change and habit formation
  • Psychoeducation and client empowerment

The aim is not emotional suppression, but emotional containment, flexibility, and choice.

Professional Background

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Stellenbosch University, with majors in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Psychology, a combination that strongly informs my structured, systems-based approach to coaching.

I am a:

  • Certified Neuro Lifecoach (Institute for Multi-Level Neuro Processing)
  • Registered Coach with the International Coaches Register (ICR)

I have been in private practice since 2019 through Grounded for Life, supporting clients locally and internationally via remote and in-person sessions.

A Grounded Way Forward

Emotional regulation is not about becoming calmer all the time.
It’s about having capacity, choice, and self-leadership, especially when pressure is unavoidable.

That is the work I do.

Why Emotional Regulation Comes First

Most people try to change behaviour or mindset while their nervous system is still in threat mode.

Under chronic stress:

  • Emotional control drops
  • Reactivity increases
  • Cognitive insight becomes inaccessible
  • Anger, anxiety, shutdown, or avoidance take over

My work focuses on regulation before insight, because sustainable change is not possible without nervous system stability.

This approach reduces shame, avoids emotional overwhelm, and restores capacity, rather than pushing clients to “try harder.”

Areas I Commonly Support

  • Chronic stress and burnout
  • Anxiety and stress-related symptoms
  • Anger, irritability, and emotional reactivity
  • Emotional shutdown and withdrawal
  • Reduced functional capacity during transitions
  • Self-leadership under sustained pressure

All work remains non-clinical and ethically grounded.

Who I Work Best With

I work best with clients who:

  • Are willing to take responsibility for their internal responses
  • Want practical, grounded support rather than emotional catharsis
  • Value discretion, structure, and professionalism
  • Understand the difference between coaching and therapy

This work is particularly effective for leaders and professionals under pressure.

Ethical Practice & Boundaries

My work is not therapy, diagnosis, or medical treatment.

I maintain clear ethical boundaries and strong interdisciplinary awareness. Where appropriate, coaching may complement therapy or healthcare support.

If a client requires clinical intervention, I prioritise appropriate referral.
